Cape Cod & Islands Wedding Band

A Cape wedding runs on its own clock. The bridge, the tides, the last boat and a sunset you planned the whole timeline around. Do I Do is a six-piece live wedding band that plays all of New England. We've played the Cape from Mashpee to Chatham and taken the ferry to Nantucket. We plan the logistics so you can stay out on the deck.

Island weddings: Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard

A band travels with a lot of gear: amps, drums, keyboards and a full sound system. On the islands that changes the plan. Here's what we work out with you up front:

  • Which boat. The fast ferries carry passengers only. Gear goes on the Steamship Authority's traditional car ferry, from Hyannis to Nantucket or from Woods Hole to the Vineyard. Summer vehicle space fills up early, so we plan the reservation as soon as your date is set.

  • The last boat home. An evening reception can end after the final ferry, so an island wedding may mean an overnight stay for the band. We'll cover this when we quote, so there are no surprises.

  • Weather. Fog and wind can delay boats, so we build extra time into the travel plan.

Island travel is part of your custom quote, which depends on date, location and services.

Cape Cod logistics worth knowing

Bridge traffic

Summer weekend traffic over the Sagamore and Bourne bridges is no joke. We schedule arrival with that in mind and confirm load-in with your venue ahead of time. We need a 10' × 20' level area, one dedicated outlet and two hours of setup access.

Beach clubs, yacht clubs and volume

Many Cape venues are clubs with neighbors and sound limits. A dedicated sound engineer comes to every wedding and mixes for the room, so it's a party on the dance floor without rattling the harbor.

Late-season Cape weddings

Late September and early October bring quieter roads, softer light and lower odds of a heat wave. Our Chatham and Harwich Port weddings both fell in that window. If summer Saturdays are taken, ask about shoulder-season Fridays and Sundays.

Cape Cod & Islands FAQ

Do you play Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard?

Yes. Both islands are in our New England area, and we've played Nantucket weddings. We plan the ferry, vehicle reservation and timing with you when we quote.

Does an island wedding cost more?

Usually somewhat, because of ferry costs and travel time, and sometimes an overnight. We quote it clearly up front.

Our club has a sound limit. Is that a problem?

No. Our engineer mixes to the room and the venue's rules. Send us the club's guidelines and we'll plan around them.
